I recently bought an OPC Astra and must say its a great car! Before purchasing it was undecided between the MK5 golf GTi and the OPC so I went and drove a good few! The golf just seemed boring compared to the OPC! I'm running 19's and its fine! A good set of tires is needed up front and away you go! The option of the sport button is excellent too! I drive an OPC with milteck exhaust and fook me the thing was popping and banging all over the place but it's not what I was looking for at the time! Mpg is great, there super smooth and great fun!

Go drive a few, it's the only way you'll know weather you like them or not!

Did you buy a 2010 reg in Westmeath by any chance?

Was there much done to yours keith?

Theres 3 i am looking at now your old one hopefully i could get for 5k scrawns one for more than that and then a lad in work had a 2008 one on the old tax, with the keyless entry and droplinks all done and some option pack, but he wants 7k.

Decisions decisions haha

My one Is Keyless to and had all the auto wipers and lights

Nothing major done with mine dave, I just wanted something different at the time of ownership.

I done a full detail on it and car was immaculate inside and out when I had it. Not a dent or stone chip to be seen. Paint was fully paint corrected.

Wheels I got done by wheel wizards as they were in sh*t from previous owner. New tires also fitted by them.

Carbon fibre wrapped the chrome window trim to suit new colour of wheels.

Other than that it had rocker cover gasket leak which I did myself with all original gasket and new bolts.

When I booked it in to get a check up in Opel they told me it had a lot of upgrades from first time of sale.

Bigger wheels and suspension upgrade packages been the biggest.

Yeah scrawnban thats a option the keyless isnt it?

And yeah it defo looks smart keith 5k is a good price 156k is getting high milage tho prob getting close to intervil time

Good few around here but all that standatd blue.

Mine is 2008 star silver :smokin:

The legacy is gone now. Two completely different cars. The only complant i have about the OPC is the driving position is too high...but that might be because im so used to driving slammed cars for the past 10 years

You can adjust the set down to the floor I've mine on the lowest setting. It's call Arden blue...its an opc/vxr only colour. Get a few pictures of your one up.

Here's the new one two years after Europe and uk...I presume it's due to the launchs of the new civic type r and focus rs coming later this year

Beautiful car that and one is a weapon to drive.

Wonder what they will list at co sidering the Golf R recently got a 10 k price cut to 45 for the base car..

Say she's dirty enough though tax must be high enough be very intrested to see what it is..

Tax on th golf r is very low because shes turbo...it's all emissions based now so I'd imagine it's fairly low either two hundred and eighty or three hundred and thirty

New opc will be 750 euro annually as it has 189 g/co2

wagon dec
[/quote]
That's extremely reasonable...mine is 710 for the year...and it's not really new....theyve just stuck some opel badges on the current UK model must have had a few bits left over out in Germany from the left hand drive model

That's a big problem 280 vs 750 a year knew it would be dirty pitty.

Unless it's a good few grand cheaper than the R it just dosent make sense in iteland pitty
