Widetrack

it's the Dccd that makes all the difference in my opinion, all I can say is that every time I try it in a different setting it's a different car! Way less understeer when the diff is left fully open and nice bit of oversteer out of a corner. Leaves the balance of the car completely in the drivers hands. I absolutely love playin round with it! Did I mention that haha

Totally agree there, the WR1 had it too.
I understand that part 100% thankfully. Never had that car on track though. Did notice the difference in settings every time I left the spawell petrol station, which was often. Lol

The one complaint I do have and I don't know if it's all Imprezas but just say if you were comin out of a junction and I got the arse out the steering doesn't centre itself like a rwd car would, maybe the torque to the front wheels won't allow the wheels to point back to centre as quick or maybe my tracking or castor is off

If you put spacers on non widetrack it will increase the flex and make that kickback even worse ..imagine the wheel like a leaver the more you move it away from the hub with spacers the more leverage it has to move the hub. I had 20mm spacers on the wr1 took them off after a day car looked amazing but it upset the handling something awful

Was reading that the other day
Some of that spec was only for the u.s of a....
But 98% is right for our market
Some amount of stuff

helical limited-slip front differential (Suretrac LSD in 2004)
revised DCCD system
new Yaw sensor for DCCD (part of the lateral G sensor

Seem like the only real worthwhile additions if any.
If only I knew what a yaw sensor improved lol

Sounds like you have your mind made up
I'd just go narrow and get some bars and links for it

If you have the budget buy widetrack, easy decision, the helical front lsd is considered to be very good and should stand to you if you decide to sell again, dccd is a great bit of kit also, I had a widetrack blob eye Sti and it was great to handle

Just always boggled me what widetrack was and what you actual got as extra. I'm slightly more educated now lol

UK and Irish widetrack blob eye sti have helical front lsd, not just spec c and s203 etc

Gearbox with the code TY856WB8JA uses a front helical LSD and a mechanical-clutch LSD in the rear!
