Track day car

Jesus colm we wont die this year! Half an hour ago i was filling the Scooby with petrol (as you do) and a Prius taxi pulled in beside me. And there i was looking at the 15inch 5 stud wheels wondering..... Unreal!

About 6kg each they weigh. Have to weigh my own now to see. Just a balls getting a tyre off to do it!

i used to clean a few and always liked them when the hub caps where off
makes sense with the batteries
they always remind me of rays and I wouldn't be surprised if they supply them
I Suposse the heavier the car the more likely it had lighter wheels to compensate
next would be diesels I'd say :thumbsup:
 
The lighter wheels transformed my cars performance all round.Its funny some guys think your just being a cheap ass with steel rims[emoji23]Not many know there alloy and only a little over 4kg each.And if I'm honest I didn't know myself until I seen a few lads on track in the uk using them.Only down side is they get quite hot and it's hard to keep paint on them,but hopefully just doing the outer rim and leaving original black in middle should resolve this.

Massive thanks too Declan Carey (wagon Dec)for getting me sorted for the weekend with tyres and alignment.Not many will take 4 new tyres from there own race car so you can go racing for the weekend,true legend[emoji108]
New wheel art sorted too and happy with the result[emoji106]

Awesome day today at Mondello,qualifying seen me get pole for race 1 and I finished 3rd.Just got pipped at the start and had a great battle with the leader until the safety car was deployed.This allowed the pack to catch and on the last lap the powerful FTO just got past me on turn 3.
But very happy with the result as I still get 2nd place points because the winner is not registered for the championship.So another nice few championship points in the bag and I'll look forward to race 2 tomorrow at 4:00 where I start 3rd on the grid.
All racing is live on Mondello Tv tomorrow[emoji106]

Very successful weekend,a win still eludes me this year so far but 2nd in race 1 Saturday and 4th today seems to have bagged be 30 championship points,and pushed me into a top 3 position.Todays race was a bit sloppy as the Saxo has no wet setup other than turning on lights and wipers,but I pushed on as best as a could to take 4th.Saturdays race was the best I had this year by far.Its not often you get the chance to go toe to toe with a beautiful Alfa 155 V6 with an awesome pilot behind the wheel in Richard Kearney.If nothing else I learnt lot about race craft in this race and only for that safety car I think that battle was going to the flag[emoji106]well done to Timothy Duggan who looks to have the championship wrapped with a round to spare,great drive from himself Robbie and Ger today on a very slippy track.
It seems to leave a few of us to scrap for 2nd and 3rd and to be honest this is a place I didn't see myself at the start of my first ever race season[emoji1]
Thanks again to Declan Carey for sorting me with tyres,if I didn't have them today I'd say I could have stayed in the paddock[emoji27]

Cheers Martin I really am surprised it's turned out so well so far,after a few time barrier penalties I thought I was at noting.Some reverse engineering and gained experience has got me to this point[emoji106]
