Well wear have one myself for few years as daily for wife brilliant fun car and excellent handling..I've been known to steal it the odd time for a rip across my favourite wicklow road.

Never tracked mine but been round mondello as passo in one (Tractor Man's) and it and it was excellent breezed laps and soaked up the punishment without breaking a sweat.

Also been a passo round Nurburgring in same type of swift as Duffman above and didn't disappoint excellent fun.

You obviously seen how this thread went ????

Best of luck with it and I'm sure we will see you on a grid soon

Things tend to get outa hand pretty quick alright i had a read through some of that post last night so.e work put in to a class wee machine i was gonna buy one of the 16v saxos new when i worked in uk 20 odd years back loved the drive of it but couldnt sort the finances

Great little car , definitely a good buy to get into Trackdays , with a few mods , tyres and brakes being the main thing I?d say it will be quick enough around Mondello

I recokon i can get a set of sti brembos with the 330 disks on the front under std 17 inch wheels that would slow her up a bit quicker ????

Great car and buy,????

I Will be at mondello on the 29th Feb doing trackday incase your there????

Cars ready now to go bar an quick service theres not a rattle in it so i dont forsee any major troubles on day one
Might throw some dot 5 and a fresh set of pads on her just to help the stoppers for now
Read somewhere of a bigger disc and bracket kit to move the std caliper out but cant find it now

Cool little car ideal as a track car hope to see you at a track day during the year, best advice I can give is buy good tyres and pads then take as m?ch weight as possible out of it. Then enjoy it

I was gonna fish about for used 17 inch rally tyres but i dont know alot about compounds and age issues of rubber
Also theres real good goodyears and hancooks on her already so might just burn those off first
Wets or slicks is probably the main issue to get over with track tyres you can never tell the weather and i dont have spare rims yet
What do the rest of you use on track

If you can afford it at all forget about rally tyres pick up a set of 15-16" rims and fit a dedicated track tyre like a yokohama ao50 you will get ages out of them and they are made for track work stage tyres are not made for that type of use. The fiesta st championship cars run on 15" ao50s and you could get good second hands off them

I would second going for 15 inch rims on it . Definitely will get a better selection of second hand track stuff. AO50 and even 15? full slick from the RT Class that run in Mondello. Rally tyres wouldn?t be great on track.

Cheapest way to go fast is make it light fit good tyres and make it stop quicker.

I got one 2 years ago and have had a ball with it. It has awesome lift off oversteer, especially in the wet. Such a go kart. Most fun car I've had in mondello

Too good to track  sell it and buy a cheaper 1 with a bit of damage and spend the rest on upgrades  and go faster bits
There a good handling car :thumbsup: and the lads have said. Sticky tyres are the key

They dont come any cheaper than this one it had small damage on rear but didnt even need any parts to repair it
