A couple of jobs completed today on the ka
1. When aunghus was mapping it he was getting very lean with fuelling up high in the revs and recommended a new fuel pump.
So I went for a walbro 255lph replacement pump probably overkill but hey it will have enough fuel now [emoji23].
2. Also another small issue on the dyno was that the mazda/ford coolant temp was not working with the omex ecu so I ordered an omex one from DMRR.
3. The rear wishbone bushes were junk and even new are very weak so I went for some spherical bearings to replace the bushings. David Nolan had a big part in these fitting as his dad made some spacers on the lathe to getting them just right, really happy with result [emoji16]
4. I decided to make an under brace to help stiffen the lower front as track work on slicks can stress the welds a bit.

Got back at the ka recently and removed the rear strut to send them to the UK for a rebuild while in contact with the guys at gaz I asked for a recommendation on the spring rates for the ka as I wanted to stiffen it up. I gave them the weight of the car the engine size and what the ar is used for and they gave me 7"x350lbs for the front and 12"x450lbs for the rear the originals were 7"x250 on the front and 10"x160lbs on the rear so the new ones are completely different. All installed now and alignment done and ready for track tomorrow hopefully it makes decent difference to the handling.
