Hyundai i30N performance

prob best go on hyundai forum ?
40k is madness on a car like that

what a waiste of money imo

buy a nice m5 for 20k and use the other 20k to run it for few years , better waiste of money

Their not 40k and you go to the UK you'll save even more. The value is in the price lads, for the amount of car your getting and what your getting at that price point. It's very good value.

One more time, I?m not looking for an argument either, it?s more education on my part.
I?d like to be schooled to be honest!

So the previous cars you mentioned, what are you getting more in the i30? Value etc you talk about?

Also please give rough price with VRT landed in Ireland.

I am genuinely interested to know as I?ve never seen anybody rave about one!

Please educate me as I know nothing of them.

E.g. has the i30 more tech than the above? Lane assist etc etc... or is it pure price point compared to above cars mentioned?

I stress not looking for a row!!! Just want to be educated is all.

Have a look at the link at the start of the thread, Bob flavins video. Matt Watson did one to, I'll see if I can find the link for it.

You didn?t answer any of my questions though! :(

I?ll take a look though.

Well Bob Flavin did not sell it to me! It makes noise etc etc....

On paper the Clubsport has it well licked to 60mph...

Fcuk all tech mentioned in his ?review? think I may check out a uk or other review...

Compared it to a golf R and no mention of any other class leading fwd hot hatch..!

Sell it to me!! Not getting the vibe at all.

An old standard new age STI would school it!!

Maybe not comfort and fuel economy but! From that review there is very little else the i30 has that cant be added to an STI to make it similar!!

Right! I?ve found an OSV review on YouTube... I?m interested now!
That other lad was pants!!

I shall report back when I view more.

Has to be the high power version though. Seems good :)

I?ve spent a good chunk of this evening perusing many reviews of the i30N.

I?m no car reviewer at all, especially when I?ve not sat in said car.

I take it for face value and want real car reviewers say!

To be fair it?s a very well sorted machine by all accounts.

It?s fancy diff sounds a delight to me!! High power version.

It has ?old hat? borrowed tech that vag had many moons ago but it
Works! Probably better and more reliable!!

Cabin is nice etc etc looks sporty and modern.
Has many creature comforts too of a modern hot hatch.

Rear strut brace is a plus too and not high up and invasive like the impreza?s of old!

Where it matters the ?performance? version seems fantastic and a match for most in its class.

R?s/RS/Clubsport are not it?s category and is stated in most reviews.

The lesser category it?s aimed at, it will smoke them road or track!!

Now what?s the cost here landed?? For let?s say 2 year old model of the higher performance model??

The main man from the west won?t tell me!

Also to note his favourite Honda Civic comes out top in any review I?ve watched :)

We know they are his real favourite but out of budget :) :)

Fair comments. Your looking about about 32k here and cleared on an early 181 low miles UK model. There's a couple of ex demos Irish cars on DD for about 37k. They only model available Is the performance lol.

I'll be in the minority here but I really do like the veloster .

The wife had one before the vrs and I found it a fun little car to drive, wasn't full of power but was stable enough to throw into a corner and know you'll come out ok .

The 1 back door can be a bit of a pain sometimes but you get used to it ,

Hyundai are becoming like Skoda imo in that they ain't the cheap joke cars of the 80s or 90s anymore

Theres a N version of that too Tommy

Like it myself least there trying to do something different interesting review on fastback too here
