Track Day, Mondello Park Friday 22nd of August 2014

Glad ye all enjoyed the day. Absolutely excellent craic.

@dec 2.08 is all I could manage in the civic yesterday so that is a savage time.The wagon I didn't time it but it got an awful hard time yesterday so I'm hoping was quicker than 2.04.

@ pm wrx , thanks for coming down and appreciated the feedback on the wagon compared to you're own car.

its a space frame colm with a cl merc looking fibre glass shell over it its running a big American v8

I taught your civic was quicker than that or was it just yesterday ,the ka was running perfect but the 2.07 from the otd trackday couldn't be matched maybe its because the new tyres are hard compound the yokos were medium

Yeah 2.06 but wasn't really pushing it . The hard compound would make a difference and tyre pressures .

Swindon race engines in the UK can squeeze 300 bhp out of them but normal tuning with throttle bodies and cams would get 160-170 bhp

Yep only time I seen the ka in the paddock was in the morning being taking off the trailer at half 8 9 and then in the evening being loaded back on the trailer :)

There was some crazy noises coming from the front end and the back end , ended up being the wheel nuts were came loose after the few hard laps even though we torqued them before going out! Crazy
