Wanted a GTV for ages, never bit the bullet to buy a nice black one with red leather interior for 1250 and now you can't find nice ones for good money at all.
Any issues with the 2.0 TS engine?

No issues so far touch wood but it only has 39k miles so it should be OK for a while

I got this recently a 1998 w210 E55 Amg , needed a wheel refurb, brakes all round, some ball joints and stuff in the front, have that all done now so just enjoying the odd evening drive in it .

fair play barry the merc looks class. I have soft spot for mercedes having about 10 of then through out the years including 6 series and SL55, they are thrusty but some fun on the motorway. Even more if the motorway is in Germany. You hop in and the sat nav says' next exit in 480km'
