Why do you think I chose the duratec engine[emoji6], now iv all the mounting work done a mazda mps can be dropped straight into it whenever I get one for handy money. [emoji16]
Small update on the ka, since I fitted the 2.0 duratec I have had issues with charging as the Ford alternator is computer controlled it won't charge like a standard alternator, so I came across an alternator from a Caterham and I have that on the way its a standard type alternator and should be a better job
I had the ka up in drumshanbo with damien Dixon to have it corner weighted and the geometry setup. After Initial checks he rang me and said that he taught my handling issues were stemming from too much camber on the front and wondered could we go back to standard track width and start from there. Damien has worked on lotus and formula ford and also worked for mitsubishi ralliart in the UK.
So I'm willing to take his advise on it and reengineer the ka to be standard again [emoji849]
To do this requires shortening the front wishbones and shorter driveshafts also replacement of the steering arms And ends.
This has now all been completed and the ka is ready to go back to damien hopefully it turns out better than it was as since the more powerful engine went in its a pain to drive constant wheel spin and poor times.
