Why is internet speed now quoted in megabits as opposed to megabytes?
 
Bits are used to talk about data transfer rates, bytes are used to talk about storage sizes :thumbsup:

In the Eircom fine print it's limited

The maximum amount of data you can use (both upload and download) in one month is 30GB. If you go over 30GB, each extra 1GB will cost €2. 1GB represents:

* Downloading 170 songs
* Downloading one movie
* Streaming 70 minutes of YouTube HD clips
