2012 ISDC Trackday October 12th

Small check list for the car before attempting a trackday:

1. Change oil and filter
2. Change brake fluid for a good Dot 4 , or if you can get it Ferodo 5.1
3. Check tires are in decent condition
4. 4 wheel Alignment can help a car turn in better
5. Check condition of all hoses, coolant, power steering and brake lines, any suspect ones replace
6. Check for leaks oil, coolant and power steering ,This is probably the most important thing you have to do. If you go out on track knowing you car is leaking any fluids, you could have an engine fire , you could be putting the oil on the track causing someone to write themselves off
7. Decent trackday pads on the front at least, as a road pad will be gone after a couple of hard laps
8. Helmet
9. Driving License
10.Jerry can or cash for Fuel at lunchtime

Thats all I can think of for the minute, but feel free to add to the list

I'll be up to sort out a few quid with you during the week robbie as ill not be able to PayPal it across!

It'll just be me and my mate with 2 cars but I might bring another car but ill sort you out on the day if I do bring that one!

Just for anyone plannin a dash to the local filling station at lunch time! There was a trackday I was at And several lads did this after fillin up before coming but in the afternoon had problems with their cars but with a bottle of nf booster problems were somewhat resolved! So the quality (IMO) of the petrol sold there is questionable at the very least!

My advice is to bring some in cans!

Taking off the coilovers to give them a service and free up the damper adjusters. Drivers ball joint was seized into the suspension. Eventually pivoted the coilover from the top mount to get the angle to get it out with a hammer. Ball joint is nackered, try to put the nut back on and the bolts just spins with it. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

I think there is an allen key head on the bolt you can't see. Feel around. This should stop you spinning? :dontknow:

Thought I would be able to squeeze this track day in but away until the 16th in US. Ill try make the dyno day and see what the power is now.

12. Remove wheel center caps if you have plastics ones as they will mostly likely warp and fall out!
