2006 STi donedeal

It's up at €11,250

But he's contemplating 10k cash. Is it worth that? Is 265bhp enough? Should I check anything in particular. Underneath the car looks spotless.

How hard is it to maintain one of these?

Sorry just a few worrying thoughts before i purchase

Great car, I had a 06 blob sti widetrack, shouldn't have sold it , easy to maintain just good oil regulary, can get 300 BHP ish with minor mods and still have great reliability, if clean go for it, love d colour

Thanks Pedro. It's only 265 bhp but would a decent map bring it up much or is 265 bhp enough for a daily drive. I've a 220bhp integra DC5 at the moment so I'm guessing it would be a step up.

Cracking looking car think i seen this around blue bell , with a remap panel filter upgraded fuel pump or stock pump it would achieve 300bhp easily

lol, 75% cars seen on roads as daily drivers doesnt even have 100hp... I believe 265hp is overkill for daily driver:)

fuel pump and panel filter under 200 euro all depends on remap really not sure on map prices but it depends on the map open source mapping or ecutek could cost 600- 1k for the few bits done

Mine was dyno,d ar 332 bhp with 318 ft ib, was irish car with 265 standard, put in k and n panel filter, uprated hrc 255 fuel pump, ngk 7 plugs cat back hks silent hi power system with prodrive sports cat down pipe, remapped at tdp then,

I used my car daily, min 50 miles a day , loved it to drive as daily, way more torquey after remap but same economy, 265 or 300 bhp is not overkill as a daily imo, u dont have to be flat out all the time but its nice to have it when u need it,

Best of luck

Rang WCP to price a remap, fuel pump and panel filter.

On the road map as it's AWD.

€750 all in. Should see just over 300bhp.

WCP? There's mappers with access to 4wd dynos. They should also be able to get use of a 4wd dynos. Don't see any reason why it has to be road mapped.

What's it being mapped with? Price around different mappers before you go with WCP.

Balls to that...bob rawl is your only man for mapping......

NCT , taxed, 2006, €10,000!
It would be worth paying a proper mechanic to give the car a once over
As piece of mind. IMHO I think it's a great car for that money provided you
Don't find any major issues.
Worry about getting the car before you spend too long pricing the add ons.

Nothing against bob but there is lads closer to home that are well capable of mapping a Subaru .
3-4 cars in the club here with no issues , hassle for yourself is all your creating getting a lad from the uk to do a 40min road map
