which wire

wires i have are

black
green with blue line

green
yellow with blue line

ok now my head is wrecked.

i've stripped back all four wires and hooked the power wire off my boost gauge and nothing.

but the boost gauge is lighting up when i connect it to the battery

anyone have a idea what is up.

i dont want to have the dial on constant when the car is off just when i have it running because its a smoked gauge so need it lighting
 
just checked my car there but the wires on mine are red and black so sorry cant help you

you can run the illumanation light live of the cig lighter to your boost guage so it works only when the lights are on rather than wiring striaght to the ignition.
 
yeah i tried all four wires with the cig lighter thats why i ask about the colour wires.

the four wires running to the cig lighter is in the pic above in my post
 
Where are u connecting the ground wire for the Gauge? Ya'd wanna get yourself a multi-meter, best tool ever for that kind of work :D
Double check the fuse for the cig lighter in case it blew while u were stripping the wires.
From the picture I think the Green/Red wire should be +12V.
 
had the ground cnnected straight onto another spare battery.

will check the fuse in the morning or see if the cig lighter is still working
