What have people being buying recently?

Goodyear Eagle f1 supersports, swapped to these for i30n, great tyre and cheaper than ps4,

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect 225/45 R17 94 Y XL

Would Tyre size suit?

I don't know much about the index.
I’m nearly sure it’s a 235/45 17 but double check the drivers door jam , little plate there will tell you the correct size and pressure as well

I'd suggest two separate sets of wheels and tyres if you can. Keep road tyres for road, and track tyres for track.

Once road tyres are scrubbed and have track temps put through them, they're less compliant on road. At least that's what I found. I did two winter trackdays on the AD08RS and they became very hard and skittish even though plenty of thread left.

Or just don't stay out as long as I did. 😂

That's the problem.
Not many options in 235/45 17

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45 ZR17 (97Y) XL €125
Toyo Proxes R888R 235/45 ZR17 94W 2G €200

That's what i done with the Wrx.
Might keep an eye out for a second set.

What do you think of ps4 you have at moment are you searching for more grip or thinking something for track or ring trip

I've a set of Gold Enkeis that'd suit track wheels. One is missing a center cap.

Seán McManus tyres in Drogheda can get Michelin SuperSport in 235/45/17.

That's mad Marko, your right, can't get 235 45 17 in Goodyear Eagle f1 Supersport 🤔

I suppose most more modern performance cars are running 18 or 19 inch rims nowadays, my 235 35 19 are 150 euro a corner

Honestly the r888r are going to be the tyre of choice as you’ve used them before 😅savage dry grip and surprisingly good in the wet (minus standing water due to the thread pattern)
Ps4 great tyre but most use it as a wet tyre on track use

the ad08rs is good but the old Ad08r was a far superior tyre imo having used both compounds.

I agree with havin more than one set .
Track/road

I was amazed with passo on red blob on 888.

Nankang ar1 as used by apex seem a cheaper alternative.

Think im sticking with ns2r though had consodered switching to ps4 as they seem popular

Ps4 are a savage tyre in every condition, I'm currently using goodyear supersport great tyre as well, I find them slightly noisy on certain road surfaces but otherwise very good
