Wanted: 2.5 WRX Engine

Could chance the second hand engine market.

Mckeevers had a 06 wrx there with 43k miles.

Think was looking £1350gbp for it

second hand engine is a very unkown thing .. its worth holding out and rebuilding ur own . at least u know what u have ..
my advise to anyone buying a 2.5 car .. is at some point allow yourself 3k to be spent on ur engine at some point ..
 
Dave, whats the difference in cost of getting the head gaskets done before it goes compared to after.
 
The 2.5 is just a bad engine... you can spend money sorting the head gasket problems, and the piston problems, and you still have a weak block with cylinders that are prone to going walk abouts, so pinning or closing the block is needed to run any kind of power.. Even standard conrods need changing early in play as the 2.5 makes 400ftlbs of torque fairly easy.. And might only be 370-380bhp.
