Wanted 1974-1975 Subaru Leone

Legacy RallyGuy

Sunday Drivers
I recently (June 2012) have moved from Missouri (USA) to Dublin and was wondering what are my options might be...

I bought this as a project, but the restoration came up "back burner" status as I prepared to move and had a family emergency requiring my time that would have been finishing it.

My 1976 Subaru Leone 1.6L AWD 4spd (Back in Missouri)

First off, are these around?

Some other random American's Scooby of similar make, but without the limited fender flares
and trunk lip.

If I could find one here, that'd be ideal and import my limited edition parts...

What would the costs be to put it in a container and ship over here?
Would be a savage project like a throw back to the old escort

never seen one over here , our climate eats cars fairly quickly compared to say america or oz , ive only ever seen 2 brat pickups here let alone a leone or 1600 .

Well, American vehicles rust, if they're not from one of the southern states... And REALLY badly if they're from the midwest. They use loads of salt on the roads to melt the ice/snow... I once lost a 2L bottle through a hole in the floor of my wood hauling truck. It's actually the copper/rusty one above next to the leone! :p I later patched the floor with the hood from a 91' Ford Escort.. :p

Sorry about the taking a long time to reply, I've been busy working and rebuilding my airbrushing setup for temp tattoos, drawings and whatever :) *obviously a different paint/ink per setup.

Well, I'm considering the different costs of sending over my car + body work in the U.S. costs vs ireland to install the roof skin. *I dont have any tools here, so I'd be paying someone to do something I already know how to do and have done as an occupation. $1800 or so to ship a full sized car, but IF I combine my stuff I own AND the car in a container.. perhaps it'll be cheaper/doable...

Well, I finally got my auto paints in! They're a multi-purpose paint, for automotive/canvas/paper...

It loves most material, except cotton... Cotton fluffs up, hiding ink...

But anything you can clearcoat or dont run through the wash- like canvas/paper, it's perfect for!

I dont have a way to clearcoat stuff yet, but I have a ton of colors and so far, I've had great results on plastics, paper, polyester, canvas and for skin- I even have hypo-allergenic temp tattoo ink!

But yeah, there's my update :)

And still haven't found a Leone, but found some cool stuff: Mine might be very rare!!!!

One of the few Baja Racers perhaps...
