v6 type r bhp?

276bhp I'd say. All jap cars can't be more than 280 bhp.

A lot where quoted at making peak power lower than they actually did, GTR's for one definitely make more than 280bhp standard..the R34 makes more like 350

Sorry, I know that Dave, should have made my point more clear.

I was just saying that the 276 is probably correct as by law they wouldn't have been able to print 307bhp as the peak power?

That's right it wouldn't be published anywhere as 307, think most standard ones dyno 280 or so?

I have read in a few places that the V6 imprezas where all 300bhp! not the usual 280bhp!!

well i drove this 307 brake type r sunday and it wasnt as fast as my version 3?

It shouldn't have been? :ponder2: It has a close ratio box, it should pull allot harder.

Unless she was mapped,
Then she has probably gone into limp mode!
That would still feel quick enough in a type r!
But the sustained boost of the longer geared V3sti would pull a long way!
Dan

he said it was mapped but id say that was a good while ago,,i can't explain it but there just felt to be no pull in it compared to mine and i gave it fair welly too

Something wrong with it Donal,type-r's should feel much quicker. I recall Vicki Butler henderson quoting a type r as having 308bhp in a race against clarkson in a cosworth.Ill look for the link.
