v5 and v6 boxes

hi lads ..
just wondering what are the differences between the v5 and v6 boxes and diffs on the type r/ra



do the v6 boxes drop the revs lower in 5th??


will a spec c box 6 speed fit how will flywheel and the c diff ect work out ???

Hello Huzzy,

A six speed box fitment is possible, the spec-c 6 speed box would be a good choice as it has a low ratio (with long 6th) and can handle a fair amount of power / torque

You will have to wait for one of the lads to tell you how its done as I am not technical

You can get them from api in the uk he has them in stock rebuilt and ready to go

well as you know i was going to sell her up.. but i went to england for two days looking for something elce.. v limiteds and blob eye wrxs but without sounding like my head is up my own ass its hard to get a type r in good condition..so im gona give her another chance


I want to up grade my gearbox and recon c diff+ rear diff ...
