That is stupid no matter if the cheapest or dearest of items.

I would not allow any of my guys do that. Safety first.

l had a steel wheels places under the car as a precaution, so if the jack snaped the car would not travel much

Use axle stands!!!!

Too many deaths caused by lads trusting a jack alone.

I've a bluepoint jack with low entry.
Was dear but has paid for itself a thousand times.

Buy cheap buy twice!
 
I got a low profile 2.5 ton jack and two axcel stands off pj fallen in rosscommon for 200. The jacking point must be about 2il inches of the ground and its good and long. Handy for the lower cars
 
Eoin s204 got great floor jacks for a few lads including me for small money a few years ago worth a pm
 
That's the same one I have Keith, have it years, don't use it much but threw the Mazda up on it yesterday not a bother on it.

Just seeing this now so he is probably sorted. For info they were from an army surplus store in Midelton Cork. Not been in there in a while.
