P0327 fault code

2005 forester xt 2.0 177bhp

Engine light on
Code p0327
"Knock sensor 1 circuit low bank 1 or single sensor"

Anything to check to make sure it's knock sensor? Or just replace knock sensor?

Car doesn't seem to be running any different or down on power.dont want to drive it incase it causes any more problems

I cleared it few weeks back and it stayed off.tried clearing it again this evening and it comes back straight away

Might just be time for a new knock sensor then

a bit of a pain to fit with their location over the starter on the block

Tried good few places and no where seems to carry them. Does anyone have a part number?

Have also tried dave at rsr

There all the same but have different connection plus’s on them so see what plug type you have

Took the knock sensor out a few weeks ago,fiddly job that I taught was going to be a nightmare but wasn't too bad.

Ordered the correct sensor off icp.
Took just under two weeks to come. (There was a note on ebay,saying seller was away)

Put off fitting it as a few people mentioned they where awkward. Finally got round to fitting it and all went smoothly. I think I had made it ten times worse in my head.

All back together and running smoothly, no lights on.
