Model Rally Cars

Middle Lane Hogs
Hi lads was at a model car show in kilkenny yesterday and kinda got the bug for a long time to buy a few models. Problem is they are very expensive :icon_cry:

I was looking at a few stalls yesterday and they are about 25/30 quid a car. Thats probably not too bad if you only intend on buying one but I would want them all such as Impreza, legacy, audi quattro, metro 6r4, sierra cosworth....etc

Have looked on ebay and the net today but while they are a bit cheaper, the postage is a killer and you would be back to square 1 before you know it...

So anyone know anywhere I could buy some models cheaply without costing an arm or a leg :xmas_cheers:

it took me ages to build up my collection, i got a fare few at the merchindise stalls that follow the rallies,
most ot them came from ebay though and it all depends how much your willing to spend on them, its an expensive hobby....

Colm, you should take your own advice !!!

the legacys are costly enough axel so be prepared to pay top dollar for them, i have 9 different livery ones :subaru:

Lads found a site called http://www.diecastmodels4u.ie/ . They are an Irish company based in Galway. Anyway they are doing a special at the moment of free delivery  Cars are priced from 11.50 each which are very reasonable, so I ordered three of them. They were delivered within 2 days and are top quality.

So for any of ye budding model collectors (like myself) I would recommend this site

These are just toys. The real models are those you have to build yourself :p
I always liked Tamiya plastic 1/24 rally series

I've been playing with them some time ago... it takes about a week to build one complete.
It requires a bit of manual skills and patience, but the satisfaction after finishing one is priceless...

I;ve built Gronholms 206WRC 00, Colin MCRae Impreza WRC 97, Sainz Corolla WRC 99, McRaes Ford Focus WRC 99 and Makinnens Evo V 98

I have a few unfinished still in boxes, will have to build them some time soon
