legacy owners...help!!!!!!!

Feck,still trying to work that out -like I said im bad at the oul sums - where'm I going wrong?

0-10 Litres (Reg 95)= 0% ethanol, 95 RON
0-20 Litres (Reg 95)= 0% ethanol, 95 RON
20-30 Litres (Reg 95)= 0% ethanol, 95 RON
30-40 Litres = Mix of 5Ltrs E85 & 5Ltrs 95 ((15+0)/2) = 7.5% Ethanol , ((104+95)/2) = 99.5 RON
40-50 Litres (E85) = 15% ethanol, 104 RON

So I'm takin the average of those 5 parts

Ethanol = (0 + 0 + 0 + 7.5 + 15 ) / 5 = 4.5%
RON = (95 + 95 + 95 + 99.5 + 104) / 5 = 97.7

Seems a bit too good though considering the E85 is cheaper than the normal stuff...

Oh yeah I'm outside of Cork so only 2 maxol stations - one in Wilton one in City, Mitchelstowns the nearest E5 and that's an hour away from me.

I have a B4 and am mixing 5 litres of E85 to a full tank of "95" plus about 100ml of NF.
I thought that this would bring up the octane rating a fair bit based on my own calculations, however, when I got the car mapped it definitely wasn't near Japland quality! (100/102ron) It raised it a bit but not as much as I thought. There's a possibility that the regular petrol was more like 92ron... :ponder:
I take a spin down to the Emo station in Tuam every few weeks to fill up a jerry can of E85 :icon_grin:
I also have a KS3 knock analyser to let me know if the fuel is ok - http://www.phormula.co.uk/ It's a useful tool to have! :thumbsup:
An E85 conversion would be savage :653:
