Left front wheel smashed

It's alot to do with the dry weather then wet then cold and to top it off add salt leaves the roads very greasey

Sorry to hear fella... sucks, especially around this time of year when loads of expenses anyway!
If you can fit some of the parts yourself it should break the bank to get her back on the road though - chin up!

sorry to see your car gettin a shunt , nevr a nice experience . hope you get sorted asap .

i may be WAY off here , but has anyone noticed how slippery wet roundabouts actually are , to the point where i dont think the same tarmac is used on main roads . espicially on the newer roads . maybe in my head, but i have my suspicions

I use the M2 all the time and the amount of crashes on the ratoath slip road and the roundabout for ashbourne is unbelievable,I had a few occasions where I lost grip going roundabout at low speed and I saw one car go into the ditch going about 20km and a bin lorry go straight into the roundabout,so there was definitely cheap s..t used on this road

Jesus man nice bit of damage steering rack doesnt look great take off the boot and check it also arb mounting point is pulled out and arb looks bent . Wishbone a lot of damage

added new pictures with wheel and brakes down.

So if you guys see something unusual that I haven't spotted, please tell me

so as far as I have seen, inner tie rod seems to be OK, but there is kinda big hole from it visible in the last picture, so I guess I am not gonna take any chances and change it as well.

Antirollbar seems to be ok, but the bushings and piece of metal arround it seems to be completely smashed.

The plastic piece from antiroll bar going to Drop link is completely shuttered too, so that will need to get replaced

Wishbone welded and cracked on two sides, so that needs to be replaced completely

Outer tie rod is welded in several pieces, needs to be replaced too.

Will be calling Dave tomorrow and see what the bill will be. So far what I had chance seeing, it didnt look like too much work for as long as we are talking only replacing stuff. Shocks seems to be fine

Whats pain in the ass tho, is the arche over the wheel, its bent very heavily where the wheel hit the side, as well as the lip underneath the door. Sorry for my explanating skills, but I dont really know half of the original English words for these things.

Thats a heavy smack.

Minimum

Wishbone
Inner and Outer tie rod
Drop link

Possible steering rack damage.

And see where at from there.

It Would be very rare for a rack to be damaged in that kind of tip.
I would add a wheel bearing to daves list, I could guarantee that wheel bearing won't last 3 months.

Depends on angle of wheel on impact. Create a tight spot on rack etc.

Havent seen in person. List may grow.

Just seen looks damage to front anti roll bar bush and bracket.

Would have been a fairly hard hit to do that.

Wheel bearing possible. But he said above do what needs be back on road on budget

Tried to call you, but for some reason unable to. Would you be able to tell me what parts can you order for me and what the bill would be?

But as have not seen the car. Hard make correct list

I know Dave, but car aint running, so I cant get it in there:( I guess I will change those very obviously damaged parts, put it together and try to drive it on backyard, if there will be anythi g wrong investigate further

Any update Zheiko?

When you say it's not running do you mean engine won't start or its coz of damage u can drive it to get looked at?

As scoobysub said, engine is running fine, even the wheel tries to turn when I put a bit of throttle(had to while I was pushing the car into garage), so I assume and hope that the power rod with differentials and steering rod will be OK. I really wish they are.

Other than that, currently I ordered Whiteline drop links for both sides and have on order with Dave the Wishbone and Tie rods, he said it should be there by monday, so this weekend I will go to garage and strip everything off and try to fix the bent fenders and perhaps kit it and spray it.

As soon as I have them parts I will start putting it on. Problem is that the drop links are ordered from US, and while they are dispatched, there is big questionmark when will these arrive. Another problem is, that I ordered new ROTA wheel, but probably missclicked and instead of front polished gunmetal gray I ordered only Gunmetal Gray. Well I wanted to paint them dark anyways, so it seems I will have to that now...

Edit: Guys, the more into technical, would you be able to see from the pictures, if the Anti Roll bar got damaged as well or is it looking ok? As far as I am aware, anti roll bars are 'spongie' so they have certain percentage of bending that they return to the original shape, unless the force is too big. Am I right on this one?

Also, if its damaged, I will be probably looking at 'upgrade' instead of getting the same part. What effect would uprated front antiroll bar have for the handling of the car?

Ah ok thought you said dave was looking at it just assumed u put it on a lorry and sent it to him

Good luck with fixing it [emoji106]

I consider myself a bit skilled in technical stuff, would not call myself a mechanic, but can do bits and pieces, I changed myself the suspension and brakes. I believe I can replace them parts myself as well along with http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g11/type_37/

Unfortunately I am not in possition moneywise to give the car to someone to fix it, so I will try to save up on that, if I get into some pickle like something I cannot fix, I will look on other options...
