i have a 2005 525d m sport will put up a pic in minute. its 9k to clear and i have it for sale at the minute. at this moment im in two minds as to keep it and clear it or to keep selling her and buy a passat simular to the one i bought the missus (05 tdi 140 sport) and buy a escort cossie for the weekends. now i love subarus and had 2 lovely ones but my dream car is an escos. the way things are am i mad considering spending 15k on a car only for the odd drive and will it break down after every spin :angry1:. so its between keeping the beemer and putting 19"s on her and vrt and tax for year and gallardo 18" on the passat or buying a escos and another diesel for bout 10k. i know all the replies will be buy another scooby but only subaru i would buy is 2006 sti onwards and that would take up 30k. what ye think. can i not add attachments since have not renewed membership yet ???

Nah seriously though if you've always wanted an Escort Cosworth then just buy one if you're in a position to do it. It will always be in the back of your mind if you want one and don't have one. I'd suggest you have a chat with Johnny (Jomo). He worked for Cosworth for 20 years & still works on cossies here for some Irish lads, he'd steer you right on them.

As for adding attachments, not sure whether or not non-members can do this.

But just upload whatever it is to photobucket & copy the img code into your post here :thumbsup:

have to say the passat is actually more comfortable than the beemer to drive and has nice poke with great fuel consumption. lovely car couldnt fault it
 
i would go buy the cosy if thats what you really wanted all the time

i was in the same boat as you when i wanted the integrale, i just always wanted one , now a year down the line im thinking of selling her as i just dont use it enough to be paying the same amount on tax and insurance as the scooby so its a waste of money to have it sitting here and also its 12 grand i could send on holidays or the house or scooby, now dont get me wrong as i love the lancia and the feeling it give me when i drive it BUT is it worth it?

at least i can say i had one and loved it, like you will with the cosy

hold on, what am saying " go buy a scooby and pay your membership" ha ha
 
if i was you i would keep the bmw the way the car market is at the moment, you would take a big loss on it, or else trade it in against a passat and if you had some money left over put it towards the escort cossie.
 
Sell the BMW
and buy the cossie
the bmw will devalue
the cossie wont
so you get to have the car you really want and hopefully it wont be a depreciating asset

i was actually going buying an escos last march but cudnt get to england to buy it in time and he sold it to someone else from here so bought the type r then. so have been keeping an eye on them for last yr and half and in fairness even with recession they are still commanding top dollar and selling quickly all be it in england
 
buy a cossie,,unreal machine and one of the few sporty cars that are around that aren't depreciating like dirty knickers at the moment!!

got a message this morning "will you take 10 grand cash for your car no messing quick sale" lol jesus people must think the recession has fried peoples brain he he. my advert expires tomorrow so will i bother renewing at all. need to make my mind up quick lol. also rang bank yesterday for top up on loan and i never seen it before but they actually rang me back in 20 mins saying approved !!! 20 fooking minutes must be a record...........
