Hands free is poor and sounds tinny!

Hi guys looking for some help. I recently upgraded my head unit as my hands free stopped working on my old one. I went for the Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB. Nice unit and good functions apart. From the hands free. The volume is not great even when on max. Is there anything I can do to improve it? The speaker is mounted in the dash below the speedo.

When you say speaker do you mean microphone? I have the same unit, i mounted the mic to the top of the pillar as that is closer to my head than the dash and never an issue
 
Subaru are loud inside road noise ect road surface and speed determine the quality of call imo but generally no issues myself little microphone on speedo binicle..have it up where Barry has his on my swift defo better idea
