Just having a gander through the programme and was surprised to see a 151 Reg rally car. Must be a first to see a relatively new rally car with a southern Reg.

I checked cartel for the craic and notice it's a 1 litre 125ps engine, I'm sure that got the bin! The emissions are surely a bit higher out of it now.

Anyway it's great to see a few pound in the country anyway.

Anyone on here spectating, marshalling, officiating, driving or navigating this weekend???

Galway day 1 gettin messy

Stages were soaking wet. Heavy showers at times then dry spells which made the roads greasy. I was at the second last stage and it was delayed a good while due to all the accidents and spins.

EDIT: On the plus side, great to see some Scoobies out and about. Seen everything from classics to STI Hatches about. Lovely STI Hawk in blue with gold BBS parked by Costcutter in Kilimor that I salivated over. Everyone gave me the wave so good to see the spirit is still alive.

Might be a silly question but is there insurance for rally cars or do the teams just foot the build to repair.
Would the impreza ever see Road again?

It be insured alright, don't think Jennings would risk it,esp as it was valued over 100k

Jennings got caught before with a car not insured. His own was insured when he had the fire in ulster last year.

Went to the Galway Rally today. Good day out. Some of the top guys out such as Mc Nulty in the Mini and Boyle in the Fiesta since yesterday.
Comfortable win for Jennings.
A nice new Type R at service looking well.

Seen that Type R on Friday night. Was parked opposite bus stop near the road.
