Finally became a Subaru owner

Hi All,

After years of wanting one I finally bought a Forester - SG9 2.5 XT with 180k kms. Not everyone's choice but I love it.
Great to join the forum, seems like there's an abundance of friendly folk on here and some pretty cool cars!

Already had the forester out for a few spins - fits two MTBs nicely with plenty of room for gear.

Have intentions of a few upgrades in time but still deciding on how far to go with mods.

Cheers,
Will

Welcome along will nice foz and nice couple of bikes great that they fit routine maintenance and they are fairly good

had the Same year and colour, great car, go pretty much anywhere

is it a manual or auto?

id think of sticking a tow bar on it if you bike a lot, very handy and no brake potential issues from taking wheels on and off

Manual, the 2.5 Turbo engine pulls nicely even bog standard, looking forward to some tweaks. Pretty fresh for it's age. I'm the 3rd owner and 1 owner only had it for 6 months.

Hopefully picking up a towbar this week, along with a boot liner and roof bars. Yeah I prefer to keep the wheels on, nothing worse than accidentally grabbing the brake lever while the wheel is off ๐Ÿ˜…
I paddle and bike a lot so the roof bars and towbar are pretty much essential!

Factory shocks are still good so sticking with them for now, Anti roll bar has seen better days so it will likely be swapped out first!
