True, and V3/V4 ECU has 3 plugs and will not plug into the V1/V2 ECU which has 4 plugs

V5/V6 also has 3 plugs but are a different shape and will not plug into a V3/V4
 
yes its sep 98 onwards v5 on are ecutek remappable...


but yes you can fit a jdm wrx2 ecu to and sti2 car or vica versa but will create a very unsafe car under boost due fueling issues.
