Just a word of warning if buying a 2 Post lift.
The old saying goes buy cheap, buy twice but in the case of a lift the saying should be buy cheap and you won't be around to buy anything else.
Mate of mine has 12 month old lift, I won't give make but they are the red Chinese CE approved ones they are all flogging under different names, was installed by supplier. Basically on Monday had sclass Mercedes on it, granted a heavy car at about 2.5ton but lift was rated for 4ton, long story short equaliser cable snapped, sheared the lock pins clean off (these are the safety locks that are supposed to save you), hydraulic rams are plumbed in series so as one compressed the other went out through the ceiling. Car in sh*t and 2 lads lucky to be able to tell the story.
