just out in the car and noticed when im just about stopped there is like a
cracking sound coming from the front brakes also happens if you are rolling slowly and brake
any ideas?
thanks

Could be a lot of things to be honest mate, I'd hate to steer ya in the wrong direction. It'd be better if I could hear it for myself or get it checked by someone.

Could be sticking caliper or a million other things

cheers i think its a trip to the garage only done front pads a couple of month ago
have a feeling might be the discs was planning on getin drilled discs soon so hope its
not more serious than that

thanks

Well normally if the discs are warped you would get a slight pulsing of the pedal or with light pedal press the brakes would apply and let go. If they had a lip you might get a squeal with new pads. I doubt a cracking noise would be disc related but I can't say for defo

from my experience, sounds like the pad moving in the shim when breaking at low speeds, used to happen with my old altezza, mintex extreme pads with standard shims fitted and they would occasionally click when driving into a parking space and i brake to stop
