The grey 1 is more than i want to spend but it is nice.. Red one is a doosy... The only uk/irish pre widetrack blobs to have dccd were the wr1's afaik

Its a jdm so it would have dccd alright. Yours is an 03 but reg'd in late 02 in the limited number of pre-release orders.

I thought you were looking for something more focused? Spec c?

I was but I'm finding it impossible to find a type r that has potential. A spec c is too far out of budget judging by the ones on donedeal for 16, 19 & 24k respectively. One would be ideal but i cant spend that amount unfortunately. A jdm blob with twin scroll and dccd gearbox has lots of potential and the newage blocks and dccd boes can take 400 all day long as long as they haven't been previously abused. I'm listening to advice from people who are offering it and it would be a lot cheaper and easier to get a jdm blob up to 360ish (without changing turbo) than it would be to get a classic just up to 320. I know there's a weight difference but the newage is just a better built, more reliable car.
In saying that, I'm still on the lookout for a good clean classic type r, may even consider an ra at this stage. I love the blobs and coupe's so they'd be first choice over a classic 4 door.
If i don't find something soon, I'll be waiting until the new year as the car would be locked up for the winter anyway. Hopefully something good come up soon
