battery light heavt steering.

well have a problem the only happened a couple of times when sharp cornering like pulling into the drive the battery light comes on and i get heavy steering, but only happens for a couple of seconds any ideas, checked belt and fluid both grand cheers

Well the battery is charged from the alternator, and the alternator and power steering run off the same belt so it sounds like the belt slipping or something

tighten the belt. Might look fine but no tension on it, it will slip.

as above belt slippage may be your prob....
