Debating selling my SF5 Forester Turbo S, with the Legacy due next month space is getting tight and if I can't store this inside then I don’t think I’ll keep it.
Not everybody’s cup of tea but I really think this is a survivor car as one of few that haven’t been butchered for its engine, particularly since it’s an automatic. This car is 100% original even down to the fact it never even got a replacement windscreen. I bought it off Phil Kirwan in Wexford the old Subaru dealer who sold it originally to the one and only owner it had before me. The guy traded it in to the week he bought it new 20 years ago. He kept every receipt, invoice etc. so probably has the most comprehensive service history I’ve ever seen. Was tempted to convert to manual but as it is so original I decided not to.
Its had a lot of money spent on it mechanically in the past 6/7k miles
There is 120k on it now and at 117k seanie carried out the following:
As I said there is stacks of receipts there and every NCT cert
Current NCT until Jan 2022
Tax is out
Four good tyres
Full leather with heated front seats, AC and big sunroof
Two keys
Detachable towbar
Power shift button with low 1,2,3 gears
As it is almost 22 years old the bodywork is as original as the rest of the car
Has few marks and scratches and lacquer peel on the bonnet scoop
Will post better pics at the weekend when I pull it out of the garage
Looking €3,500 but open to offers
