Well Lads,

I'm putting this up for sale as I think its time to move on after having the pleasure to own it for 10 years .
This car is a very well known car in the club and gets well looked after.
The car will be sold with a long 15 Month Nct and is taxed until the end of November. It is eligible for classic insurance.

Huge spec list , I may leave out some things that were done on the car so bare with me.

-1998 Genuine Factory Sti Sport Wagon (going by Chassis number)

Engine:

The engine has a great spec addressing all the 2.5 down falls , fully forged and has been faultless bar a few oil leaks which have been rectified. The oil is changed every 5000km with Millers 10w50 . As with any forged engine, the oil levels must be checked regularly due to clearances but this engine uses very little.
The engine makes 399hp and 383 lb/ft at 1.6 bar on 95 fuel , no booster, no water/meth injection

-New cosworth timing belt kit with the extra idler upgrade done in March 2019
-New Clutch Exedy pink stage 1 installed June 2019
-AS Performance (UK) closed deck conversion EJ257 Block built by Ali Burrows in 2015 with roughly 40,000km on it
-New Nitrated Crank
-Rcm Omega pistons ,compression ratio 8.6:1
-Manley Rods
-Cosworth headgaskets
-14mm Head stud conversion
-Version 4 Sti Heads
-740cc Injectors
-Rcm 340 fuel pump
-Perrin Custom right hand drive rotated up pipe
-GFB EX44 external wastegate
-Garret Gtx3076r turbo with custon oil and water lines
-Custom 3" downpipe with easy removable cat on vbands ( no messing come nct time )
-Rcm Track attack return to sump catch can
-Rcm Baffle plate in the sump
-Fuji oil pick up damper ( helps to stop oil surge during heavy use )
-Forge recirculating dump valve
-Front mount Intercooler
-Custom 102mm intake with K&N filter
-Group N Sti engine mounts
-Aftermarket Alloy Radiator
-3" Cat back from Jetex in the Uk, nice sound not too loud

Ecu:

Alcatek Ecu with launch control and anti lag installed and mapped by Aonghus at AP Performance in Galway

Gearbox and Brakes:

-Full 2003 Impreza Sti 6 Speed conversion including R180 rear diff and rear hubs (new bearings in 2015)-New Clutch master and Slave cylinders in 2019
-2003 Sti Brembos with all threads in good nick (repaired as necessary) and all 8 bleed nipples replaced with Stahlbus bleed valves at a cost of ?300
-New 326mm Brembo Xtra discs on the front in June 2019
-Godspeed grooved rear discs
-Project Mu Carbon HC+ pads all round
-Custom (my own spec) 2008 WRX Hub conversion with a bolt on bearing/hub assembly which retains the ABS, this does away with hub flex/pad knock back (long peddle) when using on track , also gives a bump steer correction so sharpens the steering feel. This was more so to do with confidence in the brakes working correctly everytime you use them as I had no confidence with the 2003 sti hubs for track use.
This conversion cost about ?750 to do but is a great addition to the car.

Suspension and Steering:

-Brand New BC Coilovers in June 2019
-White adjustable 22mm anti roll bars front and rear
-Last alignment was a fast road spec done by Dean Reilly
-Type R quick steering rack
-White line bump steer correction kit
-Custom remote power steering fluid bottle and pump kit retaining the version 4 cooler

Interior:

-Original Version 4 Sti seats
-New in may 2019 Defi DIN gauges in the center console Water temp/Oil temp/Oil pressure
-New Pioneer Double Din with bluetooth and Apple/Android carplay
-2006 Sti Hawk steering wheel

Wheels and Tyres:

-BBS 17" Wheels , custom colour by Mightnight Auto Body
-4x Tyres New in June 215/45/17 Yokohama Ad08rs

Bodywork:

The cars showing sign of age in some areas but any rust taken care of last year. The car was repainted in 2015 so is in overall good condition.

I think thats most of the spec list .

price is 100% firm due to the history, sentimental value and build cost

Any inspection Welcome

Pm me if interested , pictures on the way

Thanks

Barry

Best of luck with sale.baz, fantastic wagon with some spec on it, ????, what's next on the horizon

I can confirm that this car goes like a rocket , handles superb, and sounds great. A credit to you Baz. Best of luck with the sale. Bargain to be had here for sure.

Jeasus didn't realise there was that much work done it man. Bargain for someone man.
GLWTS ????????

I think you have it massively under priced man. Absolute savage machine and it's been a genuine pleasure to see it grow and improve over the years as you learned as you went along. I loved all the passenger laps and spins in it and noticing the differences the changes made. One of my favourite cars of all time and if I could get classic insurance on it I'd be at your door but even autoline wont look at me until I'm 30.

After looking another car last Thursday and taking the car away for a fishing trip to Donegal the weekend, decided to hang onto her , admin can lock the thread thanks

For many reasons... don't think you could have ever replaced that car (all that she is... and all that she means to you).
Glad you came to that conclusion before it was too late and someone snapped her up!

Was it an Evo you went to view? :D

Good man. I'll mind it after 2021 if you decide to sell then.
