05 sti uper steering column cowel removal

Lads l want to take the speedo clocks out but l cant remove the upper plastic on the steering column without breaking the 2 very long mounting points. I have dropped the steering wheel all the way down but still won't go. Any ideas

You don't have to take off the column at all I'd say either do you?

It is obvious enought but in factory form. I have genome boost gauge fitted and I cant get the clocks out as the boost gauge is in the way. I cant get the gauge off as the screw head is focked and I was going in circles :hammerhead:

Then I was watching a video on youtube where the person took it off no bother and mine wouldnt go not realizing that his was different model subaru :hammerhead:
And all that to replace 1 dead light bulb :facepalm:
