i can buy them for 4000 to 5k all day long mate.. can buy 07 1.4 diesels for that money your looking... Recession effects everyone, not just me on me lonesome.. i would allow you 4500 to 5k as trade in :thumbsup:

no sorry mate 5k too low for me, car costin me 13k and i know theres a recession on but if ya dont ask ya wont receive, but anyway i hope ya get ta car sold soon, its a pure bargain for that price and ta spec it has glwts :thumbsup:

Would an ej20 sti engine from a 97 legacy twin turbo be of any use in this project?
 
Well lads, sorry there is so much reading in this thread, but anyway as alot of you know i had changed my mind on selling and went ahead and got myself the Ultimate Block. An EJ22T based 2.35 :icon_headbang:

But now, after having a long hard think, i just dont have time or sadly interest.. so basically this whole set up is up for grabs...
The spec of car is as above.. but now with more.. aswell as what above the spec now includes

Stoptech big break kit, consisting of 4 pots, floating disks and pads
Rear Brembo conversion, powder coated red to match front Stoptechs
17" Wheels, which look like ADVANS to me, with new tyres
Whiteline RARB, ANTI LIFT KIT,
Tein rear top mounts

And in a box a brand new built 2.35,
Ej22t block
Pauter rods
Black nitrated crank
Acl bearings
Cp Pistons with top and side coatings
Built by Ron at Axis Racing in the States.
 
I also have gathered up the following bits for the build..
Set of Supertech valve stem seals
Kevlar timing belt
Cometic head gaskets, specd by Ron to give 8.5 comp ratio with my heads
New Axis Racing modified oil pump ported to match block aswell as shimmed
I have from Subaru new gaskets for, rocker covers, ex man, in man, up pipe, down pipe, throttle body, down pipe . oil filter, cam seals. the bits from Sunaru are over 300 euro.

Everything is going. all thats needed is a new oil modine, get heads skimmed, bolt together, drop in, run in, and get mapped

I was thinking of Selling it as a standard type r wanting Engine box and diff???
or standard type r with 6spd dccd fitted, needing an engine??.. could suit someone just wanting to slap in a 2nd hand v5 or v6 engine???
