Got the car back from mapping in Rsr! Rcm fuel reg, fuel lines, new alternator and oxygen sensor fitted! Anti lag on a switch and launch control comes in automatically when the clutch is pressed and the car is in first gear! Very happy

My car is due in 2 weeks time. My insurance policy is on hold in the mean time. Can you insure the car based on the vin plate number before you vrt and get a reg?

They need a licence plate to insure a car, I had my insurance transferred on to it

Not i bad idea. I just assumed they would insure on the vin plate as would have the vrt done and reg number soon after.

You can't use somebody else's garage plates unless you're an employee and named on their insurance policy.

This. Garages are very strict. Only mechanics and certain people in parts/service departments are insured.
