X box red ring

stop playing my x box ages ago, bought the ps3 when grand turismo 5 came out and didnt go at the x box since
turned it on today as i want to get the new Forza game and the ring light up red
can it be fixed are is it no more good?
 
If its still under warrenty send it back to microsoft,

If not it can be fixed but from experience id pick up a new console as a mate of mine got his fixed but crapped itself 2 weeks later.

doubt its still under warranty i must have it 4 years now if not more.
i was thinking as much I dont think there that expensive anymore to buy new anyway
 
all wires were conneced properly ??
sitting up for a while may have accumalated some dust , a good blow out and hoover
bar that there are tricks on utube on how to fix inc the "towel method "

if fucked ,sell ps3 and gt and buy a new black xbox and forza 4 next week , will be a whole lot better than gt5 imo
 
Same happened mine after it had been sitting up for a good while. Played it for about an hour and then got the RROD. Bought a can of compressed air and sprayed it in through all the gaps on the casing after it had cooled down again. Been working fine ever since.
 
thanks lads ill bring it into work tomorrow and blow it out with the airline
it would be great if thats all that was wrong with it! :thumbsup:
