Where to get a turbo?

My brother is looking for either a td04 hybrid or a vf24/29 for his v1 wrx.

Is there anywhere selling new units or refurbished units???

You will have to get an adaptor to run those turbos on early Imprezas.

Regarding good refurbs I'm not sure but I also interested to know.

The early cars came didn't come with a TD04. Was a TD05 16g which a lot of people would argue is a very good turbo.

Theres a TD05 16G on it, but he wants early spool.

Doesn't like the drive of it, could be just needing a rebuild either. But he wants rid of it anyway.

His other v1 had a td04, he much prefered the drive.

Have a few td05s here if he wants one also have a td04 and a vf28 but both of those will need the adapter
Unless he's going to map it I'd leave it on the original spec turbo
