Wanted : Power Steering Pump

1. are you sure it is definitely shot and need a new one (what are the symptomes)?
2. have a look if you can find a rebuild kit, or bring it to a specialist to do the rebuild for you as can work out cheaper and faster
3. ring around scrapyards local or else traynors in NI (or partsfinder.ie for convenience, but do find not everything is on there)

Have tried replacing fluid, Lucas stop leak, o ring and bango washer over the last few weeks but no joy.
Few lads in the club trying to help me out 👍
 
Did you check Subaru/Dave/ Ali for a price? Seem spicy enough no matter where you go, but I'd get new OEM to be safe.

I've gone through three pumps with my non turbo. I enquired about OEM too but it is mental money.....for a regular non turbo anyway, it is. It was suggested to me to try www.power-steering.co.uk. You'd send them over the old pump and they recondition it.
Maybe, with a special car like what you have, as JohnRA says, OEM might be the best option.
I think a used one is about €70, I forget...though I should know after buying three of them.... :)
 
Charles the pump is noisy also and very noisy on full lock,its for the bin, seen it many times , I have had 3 on the wagon in the last 12 years.
There is a right and a wrong way to prime these before starting the engine after changing them , not just a case of banging a new pump on and fire it up.
Air is what kills them , due to a leak , or can suck air in at the inlet or incorrect priming after draining or refitting .

2nd hand is a gamble worth a try Mark

I will probably buy the one from Poland as a last resort. (Website looks good, delivery €28 and all in €594).

I'm nearly sure there's a rebuild kit for them. If possible might be worth stripping down for inspection and rebuild.
 
Replace the pump and fill with fluid but before you put back on the belt turn the pully by hand and a good few turns 30-40 times and get the fluid in the pump and around and top up as needed then put the belt on👍👍👍
