Sti v8 engine

Hi
I was asked to place question here by my friend :)
Looking to get sti v8 engine with all equipment including ecu. No gearbox, just engine, turbo, intercooler and wiring.
No rush on it, but if someone knows about one, let me know.
Might be for some small work to be done, but not after big end gone.

2006 impreza which had 2lt Non turbo engine which failed...
Wrx engine will do as well, but no 2.5l.
 
Yes can be done.

No issue doing conversions to any year.

So weather new age sti lot into a classic. Or non turbos etc. Anything can be done.

But you would need complete donor car
 
Its what I was telling him, cheaper to buy wrx than getting sti engine. Please keep this thread open, maybe there will be some write off after some accident (not whishing such thing to anyone) so might be good ocasion to get it then. He is not In rush as he have second car for daily driving.
