Steering wheel repair

Not sure correct area for thread. But my steering wheel has alot of discoloration, I saw on YouTube a guy used shoe polish, the liquid form to put colour back. But I'm thinking that'd wear off in ur hands. Anyone any thoughts

Same issue here, keep meaning to get a more permanent fix for it but shoe polish does work. If you buff it off properly it won't stain your hands either. Downside is it doens't last too long.

Sorry just re-read and see you said the liquid stuff, can't comment on that I've used the waxy stuff that comes in a tin.

I'll give the liquid stuff a go.. no harm. As long as it's not coming off in my hands I'll be happy.

For restoring colour to a leather steering wheel you need leather dye to do it right.
