Reverse gear noise

I've got an awful whine when reversing. Is it simply a matter of getting reverse gear replaced? Any recommendations on where to go (Dublin area). Cheers

Not deafening, but annoying. Barely audible at very low speed but as soon as I start moving its noticeable. Oil level is good. All other gears are also fine, only reverse. Been like that since I got the car (June 2021) but other work took preference. Only getting around to a fix now. Cheers

Reverse in all 5 speeds can be quite loud as it’s a straight cut gear , do you spend much time reversing? If everything else is ok with the box, it’s not leaking and oil level is ok , drive on
