rally gb and west cork

Hey lads for those of you into rallying just a quick up date on what ive been up to. Competed on rally gb as co driver to ian godney from godspeed brakes in an ex works golf gti. Good sorted car with gartrac gearbox and 200 horses it was an x vw motorsport car. We competed on the 3 day national event, going well on the Friday and sat but pulled a drive shaft on the sunday first stage. Ian has now bought a mint subaru wrc and we are going out in west cork rally 2014 if anyone spots us be sure to say hello. Anto

It wasn't a prodrive/swrt plate Jamie, it appears somebody just bought that reg from dvla & had it on their road Octavia until finally selling it. Car would have had a different reg originally

Hey lads
car is in forrestry spec at the moment but the company he bought it off (rodney from wrc spares) has supplied full tarmac spec and alot of spares from what ian had told me, box from autosportif new diffs and magnesium wheels etc. I must ask him about the reg but I think it was on a previous one all right but she is the proper job with all the prodrive paperwork etc ill find out. Car is based in wales but will defo ask ian about attending an isdc event.we should be doing a couple of events in irl this year, he also has a very quick clio for tarmac its on his website godspeed brakes quick car did eest cork in it last year.

Sorry Anto... I've no doubt its a genuine car. I'd love to know which one as I like gathering info on them. The build no. on the original Prodrive chassis plate would be better guide. Nice spares package he got too... Rodney has some collection of Prodrive porn.

Please do try and arrange to get this to an ISDC... I'd so love to see it in the flesh.

Just to let you know the car is number 5 from the 1999 season it was second on rally monte carlo driven by juha kankunan hope I spelt that right. The car has the the number welded to the left rear chasis rail as prodrive used to do. Anto
