question re emissions for NCT

my 2006 wrx 2.5 failed on high idle emissions just out of spec

it cant be above .20% and it was .26%

it failed last year aswell and a new front 02 sensor sorted it.

i run a sports cat and a decat second pipe as the uk 2.5l car have 2 cats in the down pipe.

if i just fit the second ct back on with the sports cat will it sort it out or will i have to put the main cat back in.

i know its a hard question to answer for sure but maybe someone has done it before

Had the same thing happen with my hawk.
Passed fine with the sports cat a few years... and then it didn't, and like yours failed just about in the high idle.

Initially thought it was the lambda and replaced it... no joy.

Put the original oem cat on... passed no probs.

Cheers Charles, I might try the second cat and see does it sort it and if not I'll have to stick the main cat in.

FYI, have full SS turbo back, so only one cat too... and main cat on its own easily passed nct with a huge margin.
