PC infection!!!

hey lads...
can anyone recommend what i can do to prevent an infection my laptop picked up today from doing damage???
not really up on computers!!!

Seriously, Im not too sure, Steve will be along in a bit, he will sort you out id say.

Does you anti virus not quarantine viruses???

download avast anti virus
http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

install that and run a scan on your computer and it should sort you out, failing that drop over to me and i could check it out for ya :)

stupidly opened a message from UPS in my eircom.net account!!!
soon as i did...notes started firing up on screen!!!

ouch! hopefully when you get that installed and scan done it should remove any infected files. if not give us a shout!
