Next position new pad in shell part containing button cut out. Finish off by pushing pad thru key button cut out till pad is correctly positioned. You must have fully working remote before you fit our buttons in.

I have the same problem, I think from memory the single button key we have with the rubber cover is in fact a 2 button key modified for the UK & Irish cars.
Order the aliexprss one at 5.99 see if it works id suggest
