is it a risky business to do it as a single person ?? maybe some of ya's have done this before and have a few tips for me and what sites to use ??????

mick spec-c is your man here

he will tell ya exaetly what ta do

Where are you based north or south.

Its no riskier than buying from over here or the UK IMO..

The costs will stack up though

Add car price FOB (free on board) or CIF (Complet including freight)
21% Vat plus 10% Eu Duty Comes to 31% of CIF Price
Add Port Charges
VRT
Other unfactored costs (maybe quay rent etc)

All in all go for it, i used to buy auction cars but i go through private sellers in Japan now. Auction buys can be a gamble but the risk is worth it in my opinion....

i was lookin about importin one myself but as is being said, its a gamble. if you know what your lookin for it's obviously better but i just fancied the free service and bit of guarentee from the dealer. thats my only reason for not doin it.
