IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE

Hi, i own a 2004 wrx it is idling very high around 1500rpm when hot and has engine light on. When plugged into it it says idle air control valve fault. I assume it is the idle air control valve itself so does Anybody have a idle air control valve for a 2004 blobeye wrx ej205? Closer to kerry the better but willing to travel

Hi. Did you try cleaning it and changing the gasket yet? Mine used to get clogged and a bit of a clean after taking it out resolved the issue. Worth a shot

What did you use to clean it? Would something like Brake cleaner do?

Carb cleaner with a cotton bud

Unless you have a new gasket there Don’t open it as the rubber gasket swells and it won’t fit back in so you will need a new 1
Unless you don’t need to drive it then open away

Yea, got it for 12 euro off dan seamans in cork and got a air control valve off ollie mccarron for 50 pounds. Just waiting on parts to arrive
