Heat Wrap

Hi,
The heat wrap on the down pipe of the exhaust on my WR1 came off on me, where can I buy a new one? I assume two big jubilee clips will do the job for keeping it in place?

No 2 big jubilee clips wont do the job, you need to get Dei wrap, put it on damp and use locking wire to tie it on you need to tie it a very minimum of every 2 inches, more on bends. If not it will come loose and fall off again.
 
is yours running the prodrive cat still. like this?

i am not 100% certain the heatwrap part can be bought seperate.

never had such an enquiry. quick call to local dealer with your chassis number and part request.


i would have thought its type part can be bought seperate but you never know with subaru.


Obviously as above could wrap im aftermarket heatwrap also.

My heat wrap/cover is not in too bad a shape so will just buy the steel ties and see how it goes.
 
is there a reason for not using jubillee clips instead of the steel ties, can't seem to get the ties tight enough.
